Much-loved Thai eatery opens second location in Kirkland

Sep 15 2020, 7:29 pm

With a bustling location in Capitol Hill, Soi Executive Chef Yuie Wiborg and her co-owner husband, Gabe Wiborg, have opened Soi’s second location in Kirkland.

Rather than typical Bangkok food, the restaurant focuses on Isan style food, offering an exploration of the five different regions of Thailand.

Wiborg suggests trying her Naam Khao Tod (Crispy Rice Salad), Som Tum Isan (Papaya Salad), and Kor Moo Yahng (BBQ’s pork collar) from Isan, Khao Soi (curry noodle soup) and Phad Ped Pla (stir-fired cat fish with a red curry paste) from Chiang Mai in the North, Gai Yahng (BBQ’d chicken served rotisserie-cart style), and Phad Kana Moo Krob (crispy pork belly) from central Thailand.
