World-famous burger joint has officially opened at University Village

Those craving Shake Shack have a new reason to celebrate, as the New York chain finally opens its third Washington location.

The University District spot, located at 2623 NE University Village St, features all of your Shake Shack staples including ShackBurgers, crinkle-cut fries, and of course, incredibly thick milkshakes.

The new restaurant is one of the first locations in the country to offer “Shack Track” pickup, which allows customers to pre-order via the Shake Shack app or website for curbside pickup at drive-up or walk-up windows.

Those who’d prefer the authentic sit-down experience, however, are able to enjoy limited dine-in service inside and on the patio.
