Seattle’s newest residential condominium tower, NEXUS, has been recognized for its world-class design and development with a coveted 2020 Gold Nugget Award.

The Gold Nugget Awards — the largest and most prestigious awards program of its kind in the nation — honor design and planning achievements in community and home design, green-built housing, site planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development, and specialty housing categories.

Out of an elite pool of 575 entries, NEXUS has been recognized for its “excellence in architectural design and planning,” winning the top award in the best multi-family housing community in the 100 DU/Acre or more category.

The hard-to-miss stacked-cube building is the first residential condominium tower to be built in downtown Seattle in close to a decade and is being hailed as a captivating symbol of downtown Seattle’s promising future.

“Our goal with the development of NEXUS was to create an elevated, next-generation community where residents can experience more of what matters to them. It’s a vertical village where urban living is redefined and daily life is streamlined to offer an optimal urban lifestyle,” said Christian Chan, CEO of developer Burrard Properties, in a press release. “To be recognized with a Gold Nugget Award is truly a great honor for our entire team.”

In addition to the Gold Nugget Award, NEXUS has also been awarded NAIOP’s High Rise Residential of the Year award which will be presented on November 6th.
