What to eat in and around Seattle today: Cornelly

Apr 21 2021, 5:42 pm

Enjoy fresh and delicious Italian-inspired fare at Seattle’s Cornelly.

The restaurant impresses with handmade pasta, naturally leavened pizza, and local veggies.

The spot is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 4 to 9 pm.

Cornelly has six types of pizza.

Pick between the classic Margherita, three cheese, pepperoni, or red sauce and cheese, or try something new such as the green ranger with maitake mushrooms, hand-stretched mozzarella, pea vine, herbed chevre, and chili oil, or the flying sauser with fennel sausage, house-made ricotta, and thyme.

For pasta, Cornelli serves up four different dishes. We’re obsessed with the orecchiette dish with flowering kale, parsley anchovy butter, preserved lemon, Marcona almonds, and grana padano, as well as the strozzapreti with whey braised lamb, crème fraîche, English peas, and mint.

On the side, be sure to order the chicory caesar or roasted asparagus — you won’t regret it.
