Seattle Cinerama, the restored movie theater in Downtown Seattle, announced Wednesday that it will be extending its closure for the foreseeable future.
In a statement on their website, Cinerama explained that the coronavirus crisis “has had a devastating effect on many businesses, especially those that rely on public gatherings and special events.”
The theater had been a cultural icon since 1963 and closed temporarily on February 4 for renovations. It was planning to reopen later this year.
