Dec 17 2019, 1:11 pm

Since 2012, Seattle has been livened by the Capitol Hill Block Party, a three-day arts and music festival in the heart of Capitol Hill. The newest installment of the Block Party is making its return to Downtown Seattle in July 2020.

Expect the most at the fun-filled festival filled with some of the city’s best bars, restaurants, musicians, performers, artists, and even fitness instructors.

The yearly festival hosts an outdoor yoga pop-up with Sweatbox at Cal Anderson Park from 10 to 11 am, followed by a Pure Barre pop-up class from 11 to 12 pm. There is also a softball fundraiser held from 2:15 to 4:30 pm, which raises money towards Lifelong, a charity working to overcome poverty, and food insecurity.

Besides fitness, the festival teams up with Starbucks and other local companies to put on the Capitol Hill Art Walk, a walk showcasing the galleries and local artists of Capitol Hill. A panel of Capitol Hill Block Party Artists will also take place on Saturday, from 11 am to 2:15 pm. Panel topics include strategies for band management as well as mental health at home and on the road. Panels will feature local business leaders and influencers including Megan Jasper of Sub Pop records, Evie Cooke of KEXP, Ben Jenkins of Killroom Records, and more.

Although the full artist lineup has not yet been released, past headliners have included Father John Misty, Diplo, CHVRCHES, A$AP Rocky, Major Lazer, as well as BROCKHAMPTON, and so many other global superstars.
