San Francisco-based China Live is coming to Downtown Seattle
More than just a restaurant, San Francisco-based China Live is making its way to Seattle.
Best described by founder George Chen, China Live is an interactive culinary experience that aims to showcase the best of modern Chinese food and beverage products and services.
“We look forward to bringing something different to Seattle’s thriving culinary culture and to showcasing the finest sustainably produced artisanal Asian food as well as unique beverage offerings to a new, enthusiastic audience,” a representative told Daily Hive.
Located in the heart of the Amazon Downtown Campus, this will be the second location for the brand and will consist of a restaurant and market — all under one roof.

A representative of China Live told Daily Hive that rather than creating a new concept, designers have decided to share design and cuisine versions of their San Francisco location while upgrading it to reflect the beauty of the PNW. “It will not be a replica, instead it will reflect the terroir of the Pacific Northwest, utilizing the bounty of culinary products from local farms, fisheries, and ranches.”
China Live is still finalizing details for an opening date but has shared with us the first renderings of the spot, filled with color and elements resembling the one in San Francisco.

The market will be a main feature of China Live — a place where you can purchase hand-selected products that allow you to bring the flavors and experiences of the restaurant home.

The San Francisco restaurant has been reviewed by TIME as one of the top 100 destinations to experience right now. We’re hoping that the spot will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor by giving us open kitchens and, of course, its famous tasty dishes.
