With strong winds surging throughout the coast around Seattle, power is being knocked out in various parts of the region.
Both Puget Sound Energy and Seattle City Light are reporting widespread outages across the Seattle metropolitan area.
As of 2:45 pm, nearly 650 outages have been reported by Puget Sound Energy, leaving 76,800 people without power.

In a Twitter message, Puget Sound Energy said people in the region should be ready for the wind to continue throughout the day.

Seattle City Light is currently working on restoring power.
