As a response to COVID-19, when restrictions were beginning to be imposed on gatherings, Seattleite Hannah Fuchigami knew that she wanted to create a way to preserve special moments that occur around the dining room table.

Drawing inspiration from when she’d set up a magical picnic for her sister’s engagement in 2017, Fuchigami decided to launch Picnic Party Seattle: one-of-a-kind luxury picnics that are set up and ready to go.

Fuchigami’s current winter offerings include a romantic Date Night in a Bubble and a Celebrate Package, which accommodates groups of two to five.

Date Night in a Bubble costs $225. It comes with rugs, blankets, pillows, lanterns, champagne flutes or wine goblets, an ice bucket, a letterboard with a custom message, tablescape design and place settings for two, a Bluetooth speaker, Theo chocolate, sparkling water, and a take-home floral bouquet. Optional add-ons include a deluxe charcuterie grazing platter, local food delivery, or a hand-lettered chalkboard with a custom message.

The celebrate package starts at $220 and includes rugs, blankets, pillows, champagne flutes or wine goblets, soft drinks, and a letterboard with a custom message. Optional add-ons include a deluxe charcuterie platter, local food delivery, take-home floral bouquets, and bubble tents.

Those hoping to book a picnic can do so on the Picnic Party Seattle website. You can select a location for your picnic or have Fuchigami offer you suggestions.
