If you’re ever looking for a popular duo, Netflix and LEGO might be a good place to start.

The Toy Zone, a toy shop in the UK, has recreated popular Netflix shows in LEGO formation using computer software with the complete library of LEGO pieces and bricks.

In an email with Daily Hive, Lee McCullagh of NeoMam Studios says Brickfilms (aka films made using LEGO) began in the 1970s when toy fanatics used the miniature bricks to tell short stories.

LEGO joined in on the action in the early 2000s, making movies and video games with the iconic toys in place of real actors. The company has produced big-budget flicks like The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie.

The Toy Zone and NeoMam Studios took part in the trend and reimagined scenes from popular Netflix shows and turned them into LEGO sets.

McCullagh said the process involved using 3D models and vector design software to add texture to the scenes. He says because the design was in 3D, artists could match the depth, angle, and even the camera lens to mimic the cinematography of the show. The company used retouching software to correct filters, image temperature, contrast, and clarity — just like Netflix’s post-production team.

The project even includes the total count of bricks used and the price in case fans wanted to create their own scenes.

Ranging from 200 LEGO bricks to nearly 3,000, check out some popular Netflix shows below but as LEGOs.
