Korean chicken chain Chi Mac has just opened in Belltown

After making us wait for almost a full year, Korean chicken chain Chi Mac has officially opened its doors to a second location in Belltown.

The chain, which was started in Korea in the early 2000s, is known for its simple yet perfect crunchy, salty, sweet, spicy, and tangy chicken dishes.

The spot in Belltown has many options for chicken dishes, including whole or half chickens, popcorn chicken, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, chicken rice bowls, and of course, wings.

Their wings come in orders of 7, 10, 20, 45, or 100 and have six options of sauces. Wet sauces include Korean, soy garlic, and chili jam. Dry rub sauces include Sichuan pepper, naked, and snow, a parmesan and onion powder.

Non-chicken dishes include house fried rice, corn cheese, and kim-cheese fries: cheese fries topped with sauteed kimchi, jalapenos, and melted cheese.

We suggest ordering their Sichuan pepper wings and a side of kim-cheese fries, swapping the order for soy garlic wings and corn cheese if you’re not too into spice.

The spot is currently open from 11 am to 2 pm and will be opening for dinner as soon as their liquor licenses come through. Keep an eye out on Daily Hive, or on Chi Mac’s Instagram page, for updates.
