With fifteen types of chocolate drinks, Kakao had to make our list. Pick between five mochas, six hot chocolates, and four sipping chocolates. We suggest their Valrhona Celaya hot chocolate.

Don’t let the posh exterior fool you, Fran’s Chocolates is rather warm on the inside. When you step in, you’re going to want to leave with a bag full of their dessert sauces and salted caramels. While they’re both good options, don’t skip out on the star of the show: hot chocolate. We suggest that you stick to their classic dark hot chocolate with 68% cacao.

With a cafe that has chocolate in its name, you better believe that they serve up a mean hot chocolate. With multiple types of hot chocolate and powders to take home, you’re sure to find a new favorite. We suggest trying their orange hot chocolate.

Bedlam coffee is the spot for toast, pies, and of course, hot chocolate. The spot serves up a variety of mochas and coffee-less takes on their specialties, such as the cherry bomb. Although it’s a mocha rather than a hot chocolate, we’ve gotta go out of our way to suggest the lavender mocha.

Self-described as “dining at its casual French best,” Café Presse knows how good they are. Sit down for a meal and stay for their hot chocolate. We recommend their plain hot chocolate.

Besides being known for its artisan chocolate truffles, Chocopolis also has some of the best chocolate drinks in the city. Although they’ve decided to stop selling hot chocolate in stores, we do suggest bringing a package home and making it yourself. Yes, it’s that good.
