Back in the 90s, Dr. Frasier Crane was who fictional Seattleites would call for advice. Now, nearly 17 years after the show’s final episode, Kelsey Grammer is set to reprise his most popular role for a reboot of Frasier.

“Having spent over 20 years of my creative life on the Paramount lot, both producing shows and performing in several, I’d like to congratulate Paramount+ on its entry into the streaming world,” Grammer, who will serve as executive producer of the series, said in a statement. “I gleefully anticipate sharing the next chapter in the continuing journey of Dr. Frasier Crane.”

The reboot will be the second time Grammer, 66, reprises the role — he first appeared as Crane in the mid-80s on the series Cheers.

It is set to stream on the digital streaming service Paramount+, the new name of the rebranded CBS All Access.

The streaming service has not yet revealed a date for the revival.
