What to eat in and around Seattle today: Chebogz

Jul 7 2020, 8:13 pm

Get your fill of Filipino food at Chebogz.

The family-run restaurant started as a catering service and has now blossomed into a Filipino restaurant and food truck.

Chebogz (chi-bogz) commonly spelled chibog, is a Filipino slang word that means to eat. The owners decided to spell it differently because they wanted to dedicate it to their parents: their mother’s nickname is Chez and their father’s is Bogie, hence Chebogz.

The restaurant aims to make its customers feel at home, and you’ll be transported into a loving Filipino family room as soon as you munch down on your first bite.

If you’re eating with a partner or group, be sure to add on an island combo, which consists of a mix of marinate pork ribs, Filipino sweet pork sausage, coconut shrimp, and lumpia.
