Band-Aid shared an image of new bandages in a diverse range of skin tones on Instagram this week.

These new Band-Aids come in five skin tones and will be available in the US sometime in the future, company spokesperson Katherine Lal told Daily Hive.

“We currently sell BAND-AID brand Clear Strips Adhesive Bandages, which were designed to be used by people with a variety of skin tones. These bandages were launched in the 1950s,” Lal said.

On Instagram, Band-Aid said it’s launching the new bandages because “we stand in solidarity with our Black colleagues, collaborators, and community in the fight against racism, violence, and injustice.”

Several other companies already offer bandages in a diverse range of shades, including Tru-Colour and Browndages.
