There are now over 2,000 positive coronavirus cases in Washington

Washington State has experienced its highest single-day jump in COVID-19 cases, with 225 reported in the last 24 hours.

The Washington State Department of Health revealed that the state now has 2,221 positive cases of COVID-19, including 110 deaths.

Of the confirmed cases, 1,170 are in Seattle and King County alone.

“Washington state is about two weeks ahead of New York,” said Dr. Deborah Birx during Monday’s Coronavirus Task Force meeting.

So far, 33,933 residents in Washington have been tested, with 7% testing positive.
