8 local Portland gyms that are offering online classes during the "freeze"

Nov 20 2020, 7:12 pm

With new COVID-19 restrictions in play across the state, Portland’s officially “frozen,” but that doesn’t mean you need to be.

Though gyms have closed their brick-and-mortar locations to align with the new regulations, there are still many virtual ways to keep seeing fitness results in the next few weeks, in addition to getting outside.

Not only is it a great way to support some local Portland businesses, but it’s also a proactive way to burn off that takeout you’ll be eating and make room for the giant turkey you’ll be swan-diving into next week.

So don’t be a couch potato — save that starchiness for the holidays. Grab your yoga mat and fire up your laptop; here are six local Portland gyms where you can break a sweat and get into full beast-mode right from home.

You can even pull your housemates off the couch and get them to join a small group workout class, held virtually, of course. And don’t forget their virtual Thanksgiving holiday workout on November 26. Full schedule here.
