With international travel at an all-time low due to the COVID-19 pandemic, destinations typically overrun with crowds are now nearly empty.

Because of ongoing travel restrictions, border closures, and cautionary measures taken to prevent the further spread of coronavirus, many countries are suffering the social and financial consequences of a decrease, or rather a complete halt, of tourism.
