These airlines are requiring passengers to wear face masks

A number of airlines in Canada, the United States, and Europe have implemented a mandatory face mask policy, effective for both passengers and staff.

Starting on May 4, Delta Airlines, JetBlue, and United will make face masks mandatory for employees and passengers. This applies to club areas, boarding gate areas, jet bridges, and the duration of the flight.

While it’s encouraged that customers bring their own, Delta and United say that they will have masks available for customers who do not have any.

Lufthansa and Swiss Airlines, which operate out of Europe, will also make face masks mandatory as of May 4.

The policies for Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, and Southwest Airlines will come into effect on May 11.
