Beginning this week, Stumptown Stages will be performing the musical version of A Christmas Carol, a novella by Charles Dickens featuring the iconic character of Ebenezer Scrooge, the old miser who hates Christmas but is transformed into a kinder man after a series of visits from the spirits of Christmas past.

With his iconic “Bah! Humbug!” Scrooge is the personification of uncharitable Christmas giving, and selfishness.

The talented actors and artists at Stumptown Stages will take the audience through a moving evolution of Scrooge’s personality, as he slowly transforms into a kind, generous man after being visited by three ghosts on the eve of Christmas that make him face his uncharitable ways.
