Out of all the exciting light festivals that take place in Portland, the Portland Winter Light Festival, running along the banks of Willamette River, is one of the most stunning displays of art, light, and technology the city has to offer.

This free and annual event is run by the non-profit organization Willamette Light Brigade, with the intention of connecting the work of artists in Portland with the community at large.

In the cold of winter, the Portland Winter Light Festival is an invigorating and dazzling experience for attendees.

Organizers plan for next year’s event to be the largest festival to date, with over 114 illuminated art installation, over 60 vibrant performances, live events, educational programs, incredibly stunning kinetic fire sculptures, and over 150,000 guests in attendance.
