Get those umbrellas out Portlanders, because starting Wednesday, it’s likely going to be raining cats and dogs.
Thanks to a prolonged atmospheric river event, moderate to heavy rain is expected to start on Wednesday night, and will continue through Saturday potentially, according to The Weather Network.
Precipitation will range from two to four inches for the interior lowlands, and three to eight inches or more, along the Coast Range and Cascades.

According to the weather agency, the north Oregon Coast Range and the South Washington Cascades will be the central point of all the precipitation.
All the areas that receive heavy rainfall will also most likely experience a significant rise in rivers and streams in the area, making rivers and tributaries without flood control reservoirs a risk for flooding, said The Weather Network.
