Nike teaming up with Portland baseball team to sponsor youth athletic camps

Nike Baseball and Softball Camps are all set to team up with Portland Pickles, a collegiate-level wood-bat baseball team from Rose City, for the summer of 2020.

A subsidiary of US Sports Camp, the latest provider of sports camps in the world according to a press release, Nike Baseball and Softball Camps announced this week that they will be working with Portland Pickles in order to bring three baseball camps and one softball camp to PDX next summer.

These camps will take place at Walker Stadium in Lents Park and will be coached by the Portland Pickles’ staff and current players.

The goal of these camps is to provide campers of varied abilities to work one-on-one and learn from top Division 1 athletes and experienced coaching staff.

“The Pickles offer an amazingly fun, family-friendly baseball experience, with the bonus of top-level baseball and a strong community spirit. We’re happy to be able to extend that offering to youth athletes, who can learn from elite instructors in the same fun environment,” said Josh Scriven, Nike Sports Camps Manager, in the release.
