What: Freeland Spirits is one of very few women-owned and -run distilleries in history. Come for a Tour and Tasting and treat yourself to a unique gin and whiskey experience.

When: January 16, 2020
Time: 3 pm to 4 pm
Where: 830 E Burnside Street, Portland
Admission: $20. Register here

What: For nearly twenty years, ORGŌNE has churned out gritty funk and soul recordings and toured relentlessly across the United States and Europe. Traditionally, both the studio and live iterations of the band drew on a tight-knit collective of the West Coast’s finest funk and soul musicians — although founding members Sergio Rios (guitar/engineer) and Dan Hastie (keyboards) have been constant anchors.

When: January 16, 2020
Time: Doors open at 7 pm
Where: 3017 SE Milwaukie Avenue, Portland
Admission: $20. Buy them here

What: Buck Meek’s songs are for the lost dogs of honest mechanics, good guys and girls born into a life of crime, runaways, snow spirits, the ghosts of Central Park, unsung diving-board stars, the affection shared through gambling, and so on. Bred in Texas, more bread in New York City, Meek spins outlaw ballads and quotidian fairy tales into a yarn, with Adam Brisbin on guitar (Jolie Holland, Sam Evian, Katie Von Schleicher), Mat Davidson on bass (Twain, The Low Anthem, Spirit Family Reunion), and Austin Vaughn on drums (Here We Go Magic, Luke Temple, Sam Evian).

When: January 16, 2020
Time: Doors open at 8 pm
Where: 830 E. Burnside Street, Portland
Admission: $12. Buy tickets here

What: Maurice and the Stiff Sisters play energetic rock ’n’ roll with singable hooks and no shortage of showmanship. Think Elvis Costello, Jonathan Richman and Nick Lowe’s Stiff Records (no relation) paired with gritty Stax Records horn stabs and Bob Pollard’s high kicks.

When: January 16, 2020
Time: Doors open at 8 pm
Where: 3939 N. Mississippi Avenue, Portland
Admission: $10. Buy tickets here

Sip & Paint Night

What: Painting, pizza, calzones and wine. Is there a better way to spend your Thursday evening? Admission includes paint and canvas materials.

When: January 16, 2020
Time: 3 pm to 8 pm
Where: 16505 SE 1st Street, Vancouver, Washington
Admission: $15. Buy tickets here
