Portland emergency services hold parade for hospital workers (VIDEOS)

The Portland Fire Department held a thank-you parade on Thursday to celebrate healthcare workers and first-responders.
Alongside the Portland Police, Portland Bureau of Emergency Communication, and Trimet, the Fire Department applauded and sounded their sirens in honor of the frontline healthcare employees, who were standing outside of the Oregon Health and Science University Hospital while keeping a safe distance.
PPB @PDXFire @911BOEC and @trimet teamed up this afternoon to share some cheer and support for all of our hospital workers in the frontlines. We see your sacrifice and we support you! #WeGotThisPDX š®š©āšā¤ļøš©āāļøšØš½āāļø pic.twitter.com/QB8lhzPopX

In addition to the on-hand celebrations, Portland has been holding thank-you cheers from the safety of their lawns, balconies, and living rooms every night, and with recently published projections, we’re starting to see the effects of physical distancing on this virus.
