Christmas this year is unlike any other.

With the stresses of COVID-19, it’s understandable if you’re not feeling the holiday spirit.

If you are trying to get into the spirit, however, we have good news for you: Portland has been ranked the eighth-best city in the US out of a study comparing 100 of the biggest cities in the country.

Portland scored 65.80 out of a possible 100 points. Scores were evaluated using 15 relevant metrics, which are listed below with their corresponding weights. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the most favorable conditions for celebrating Christmas.

The city came fourth in safety, 65th for traditions and food, 48th for observance, and 15 for generosity.
