Outstanding Oregon: Multnomah Falls is what dreams are made of
Last week, we featured the Columbia River Gorge, a rather large scenic area just a short drive East of Portland. Now, we zoom in to that region just a little bit to pluck out one of the most gorgeous waterfalls in all of America, let alone the outstanding state of Oregon.
Possibly the most Instagram-worthy veil of falling water around, Multnomah Falls will always be a highlight of any scroll through local photos.
Just along the 84, Multnomah Falls is a tiny hike from their very convenient parking lot alongside the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway. However, thanks to a nearly 1000 meter climb in elevation, the 2.2-mile hike can be considered slightly above an amateur trail.
Once you get there, though, every second of this rather easy-to-reach waterfall is worth it. Just look at this stunning view.
