Oregon reports almost 500 new cases of coronavirus over the weekend

The Oregon Health Authority confirmed 474 new known cases of COVID-19, with six additional deaths, over the course of the weekend.
At the time of writing, the total number of known cases in Oregon sits at 30,801, with 526 deaths.
“Oregon’s 526th COVID-19 death is a 73-year-old woman in Marion County who tested positive on Sept. 1 and died on Sept.18, at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. She had underlying conditions,” writes the OHA.
With current Oregon-wide wildfires, the Oregon Health Authority continues to promote safety and healthy actions to take in combating smoke and poor air quality.
