On Tuesday, the Oregon Health Authority confirmed 61 new known cases of COVID-19, and no new fatalities.

At the time of writing, the number of known cases in Oregon sits at 3,358, and 130 fatalities.

According to Oregon Health Authority, the new cases reported today are in the following counties: Benton (one), Clackamas (six), Clatsop (one), Deschutes (four), Jackson (one), Josephine (one), Klamath (one), Linn (one), Marion (29), Multnomah (nine), Polk (two), Wasco (one), Washington (14), and Yamhill (one).

“With the recent news that federal authorities recommend wearing masks in public, Oregon Health Authority is reminding Oregonians that staying home and avoiding all non-essential contact with others continues to be the most important thing all of us can do to stay healthy and keep others healthy,” writes the OHA.

The executive order passed down by Governor Kate Brown has recently seen its first loosening. Instituting a new phased reopening plan, the state will reevaluate the state of the coronavirus on a county-by-county basis as businesses look to reopen.
