There will also be food carts on site serving up some delectable snacks if you start to build up an appetite from all the biking.

Considered to be the “largest holiday light show west of the Mississippi,” the event will set Portland International Raceway ablaze with festivities and dazzling lights from November 29 until January 4.

“Expect more LED upgrades, new light displays, and a refurbishment of classic displays we haven’t seen in a few years at this year’s show,” said Sunshine Division’s Executive Director, Kyle Camberg, in a press release.

Winter Wonderland requires helmets to be worn by children 16-years-old and under. Proper lighting is also required on all bikes. For safety purposes, strollers, walkers scooters, or roller blades are not allowed on the track.

The best part of this special event is that you don’t need a bike to enjoy the festivities; Biketown PDX will be on-site if you want to rent a bicycle!

First premiering in 1993, the Safeway Winter Wonderland has become a Portland holiday tradition.
