Banksy honors healthcare workers with unique artwork for UK hospital
A unique piece of artwork created by illustrious and elusive street artist Banksy is now on display in a hospital in England.
The piece depicts a young boy playing with a doll that resembles a nurse wearing a cape, signifying that she is a superhero. Further to that point, dolls resembling Batman and Spider-Man can be seen discarded into a garbage can to the side.

“So proud to reveal this amazing piece of art Painting for Saints, created by #Banksy as a thank you to all those who work with and for the NHS and our hospital,” Paula Head, chief executive at the University Hospital Southampton, wrote in a tweet. “An inspirational backdrop to pause and reflect in these unprecedented times.”
The appreciation from Banksy, who is an England-based artist, towards healthcare professionals in the National Health Service (NHS), shines through. In an Instagram post published by the artist, the caption simply reads “Game Changer.”
Unveiled today, the work has already received a substantial social media response from all around the world, including staff at the University Hospital Southhampton.

“Honoured to be one of the first people to see this,” Service Improvement Manager Daniel Winter-Bates tweeted. “#banksy thank you for a beautiful reminder.”

The piece will remain on display in the hospital temporarily.
