Streets around the world are deserted amid global lockdowns (PHOTOS)

As a result of COVID-19, a majority of countries across the globe have issued some sort of government-implemented stay at home policy with many of these measures coming to fruition between March and April.

As such, people are urged to only venture outside for groceries, essential services, or brief exercise.

The result of this self-isolation and social and physical distancing is the streets of various regions around the world being eerily empty, and it is particularly noticeable in urban centers that are known for having high concentrations of people.
