Aug 28 2018, 12:01 am

The Ukrainian festival is returning to Montreal for its 18th edition on September 7.

The festival promotes Ukrainian heritage and culture within the Montreal community and strives to increase awareness of the contribution of Ukrainian-Canadians to the society in Quebec.

Visitors who attend the festival have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with Ukrainian traditions of folk crafts, music, dance, art, fashion and of course, food.

Since it’s one-day event in the year 2000 attracted 600 visitors, the festival has grown to a three-day spectacle that hosts over 18,000 visitors from all across Quebec, Ontario and the United States.

Among the festival’s activities are music and dancing, an art market and exhibition, face painting and bouncy castles, Ukrainian film screening, a fashion show, authentic cuisine and a Korchma beer garden.
