According to news releases shared by both departments, the young boy and his family moved from North York to Laval and Mario left the family home “following an argument with his mother” on January 4.
The McCrownsey family says that Mario wasn’t happy he had to uproot from Ontario to settle in Sainte-Dorothée, Laval.
“Mario has no money, no friends in Laval, and no place to go,” states the release. The family fears for his safety and hasn’t ruled out the possibility that the 14-year-old returned back to North York.”
