Tim Hortons' RRRoll Up The Rim To Win returns next month

Get your thumbs ready, Canada, because RRRoll Up The Rim To Win is coming back.

And it’s going to be a little different this year.

Kicking off on March 11, Tim Hortons’ infamous annual contest returns until April 7, and this time around, the fun will be offered both analogue and digital.

For the first two weeks of the contest, physical Roll Up The Rim cups will be available at Tim Hortons locations across the country. And full the full, four-week duration of the contest, you’ll also be able to play online, or through the Tim Hortons app.

The digital option that Tims is offering this year means a more sustainable way to play.

Tims Rewards members who scan their card or app when ordering a hot drink will receive a digital roll in the Tim Hortons app or online. For the first two weeks, each scan will equate to two rolls: one on the physical cup and one digital.

For the last two weeks, the game can only be played on the app or online.

For those who don’t have a rewards card yet, non-registered cards can be scanned and the rolls will accumulate for access when the card is registered. Unregistered Tims Rewards members have until April 21 to register their card to be able to reveal digital rolls.

And, to offer an even more sustainable option, anyone who purchases a hot drink in a reusable cup or mug will receive three digital rolls for the duration of the contest.

To kick off the whole event, starting on March 10, the eatery will be giving away 1.8 million reusable hot beverage cups for free.

Prizes up for grabs this year include over 17 million coffee and food prizes, TVs, gift cards, cars, and four draws of $100,000.
