All things considered, we’ve been trying our best to make the most of summer, given that the pandemic has stripped Montreal of its usual festival, events, and terrace shmoozing.

A new beer garden in The Plateau might make it easier to enjoy the last few days of summer.

The new garden is a joint effort between Pub Pit Caribou Montréal and the classic poutine joint La Banquise, hoping to entice guests with a beautiful combo: beer and poutine.

Open every day from 11 am to 9 pm from now until September 30, the giant patio is an ideal spot to soak up some rays, devour some cheese curds, and chug down some suds.

The large terrace is found on the corner of Rachel Street and Avenue Parc-La Fontaine, adjacent to the gorgeous Parc La Fountaine.

Staff at both Pub Pit Caribou and La Banquise follow all the necessary COVID-19 protocols, and tables are spaced out to ensure physical distancing.

Guests don’t have to order food to drink beer and kids are welcome onto the terrace. Pit Caribou offers wine, cider, craft beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks as well as snacks. Otherwise, beer gardeners can order off the full menu and variety of poutines offered by their neighbours at La Banquise.
