Two Sûreté du Québec police officers had a rare bear encounter while patrolling route 167 in Northern Quebec.
As the squad car pulled over, the curious bear made its way over and got close enough for a couple of pictures which were then shared on the Sûreté du Québec Facebook page.
The SQ went on to advise motorists that an animal can cross the road at any time, especially in rural areas and to always be mindful.
They recommend a reduced speed among drivers to gain more reaction time and to avoid sudden steering wheel maneuvers if an animal is crossing the road.
