Wondering why you should book a vacation now? Well, a recent national survey conducted by Sunwing discovered that 95% of Canadians believe that vacations positively impact their wellbeing. And almost all millennial respondents (98%) agree that taking a vacation has a positive impact on their life.

Three-quarters of people (75%) say their mood improves or they experience a happiness boost once they book their vacation — creating what Sunwing calls a ‘holiday halo effect.’

Heading somewhere sunny to soak up a much-needed dose of vitamin D is arguably the best way to alleviate those winter blues, and according to eight in 10 Canadians, it matters where they vacation.

Over 80% of Canadians agreed that a tropical vacation makes the season go by faster for them. Of course, the majority of survey respondents agreed that they wish they could stay on vacation longer than they do!

Canadians want to make memories on their vacations, and Sunwing discovered that if money was no object for those surveyed (especially millennials), they would rather spend their money on experiences like thrilling excursions as opposed to luxury VIP extras. Maybe we’re not as boujee as we thought!
