46 schools and school boards closed across Montreal today due to bad weather

Today is every child’s favourite day of the school week — a snow day.

Environment Canada’s freezing rain warning has been lifted for the Montreal area, but terrible weather and treacherous driving conditions have forced 46 schools and school boards in the city to close.

The snow has turned to ice making many roads and sidewalks too dangerous to deal with.

The temperature is also expected to drop later today. Keep that in mind while trying to convince your boss that you need a snow day as well.
