There have been 8 confirmed COVID-19 cases at SAQs this month

Eight SAQ locations across the province have had confirmed COVID-19 cases throughout the month of November.

The SAQ says it works closely with public health and is taking “all the necessary precautions” and steps after an in-store outbreak has occurred.

“The health and well-being of its employees and clients are the utmost priority of the SAQ,” reads the liquor commission’s website. “When one of our employees is affected by COVID-19, this employee and the colleagues who were in contact with him or her are placed in preventive isolation.”

Quebec’s liquor board commission says that 72 out of the 80 infected employees have been authorized by public health to “resume their normal activities.”
