Several new road closures in the city will add to more delays on the road for commuters.

The ramp from Highway 15 North to Highway 20 will be closed for two months. The closure begins today, Monday, September 25.

Drivers coming into the city from the Champlain Bridge will need to use a detour when travelling to Trudeau airport.

Transport Quebec suggests taking Exit 62 off the Highway 15 North. Then take St-Patrick and Monk to get onto Highway 20 West.

The left lane on Highway 138 East off the Mercier Bridge on the approach to Highway 20 West at the Saint-Pierre Interchange has also been closed.

The lane is closed to reduce strain on the bridge Lachine Canal while it goes under repair.

As repairs continue, the RTM announced it will offer free service on its Candiac line.

Free transit will begin on Monday, September 25, and will last until construction is completed later this week.
