All Quebec dining establishments, shopping malls ordered to close

Quebec Premier François Legault gave an update on the measures being taken to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the province on Sunday.

Legault announced that starting at 11:59 pm on March 22, all shopping malls will have to close excluding food stores, pharmacies, and the SAQ. The closure will run until at least May 1.

All restaurant dining rooms and hair salons/grooming businesses have also been ordered to close until May 1.

Restaurants that can still offer takeout and delivery while its employees are maintaining safe social distancing practices may continue to operate.

In addition to this, Legault confirmed that all schools, universities, and daycare services will remain closed until May 1 as well.
