Quebec reports 19 new coronavirus deaths, over 85 more confirmed cases

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 5,560, after announcing 19 more deaths and 89 known cases since Thursday.

According to Santé Quebec, there are now 55,682 cases in the province, 393 hospitalizations (down from 411 on Thursday), and 31 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 567,253 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec and over 25,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Thursday, July 2, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says despite the new cases, hospitalizations and patients in the ICU are continuing to drop.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 8,644, up 29 from Thursday’s reported numbers.
