Quebec reports 2,265 new COVID-19 cases, 37 deaths

Quebec public health has reported 2,265 new COVID-19 cases on Monday morning, along with 37 new deaths.

According to Santé Quebec, of the newly reported deaths, seven occurred in 24 hours, 27  between December 21 and December 26, and three from an unknown date.

The number of hospitalizations has increased by 39 compared to the day before, for a total of 1,124. The number of people in intensive care has increased by one, to a total of 150.

Total coronavirus cases in the province have now reached 194,930, along with 8,060 deaths.

According to public health, the samples conducted on December 26 amount to 16,550 for a total of 4,793,646.

As of December 27, 19,643 doses of vaccines have been administered in Quebec.

Public health advises people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, respect your region’s private gathering measures, and limit travel.
