Quebec reports 17 new coronavirus deaths, 53 more confirmed cases

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 5,441, after announcing 17 more deaths.
On Monday, the province reported zero new coronavirus-related deaths for the first time in over three months.
There are a reported 53 new known cases of the coronavirus, according to the Santé Quebec website. That brings the confirmed total to 54,937 known cases with 500 hospitalizations, 52 of whom are in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 520,227 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec and over 25,000 cases have been resolved.
The data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Tuesday, June 23 at 6 pm.
Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 8,454.
