Quebec reports over 805 cases as provincial totals spike passed 100,000

Quebec health officials have added 808 new COVID-19 cases to the provincial total along with 10 new virus-related deaths.

Two deaths have been attributed to the past 24 hours and eight have been added to the total earlier on in the month.

Total COVID-19 cases in the province has now reached 100,922 along with 6,153 deaths.

Public health is reporting 1,762,645 negative tests and 543 hospitalizations — 93 of which are in intensive care. According to Sante Québec, 85,822 cases have been deemed as “recoveries.”

The new data has been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Sunday, October 23, at 6 pm.

Public health continues to advise people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, and respect the maximum 10-person limit for indoor gatherings.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll is now 9,952.
