Quebec reports over 1,000 new coronavirus cases for back-to-back days

Quebec health officials have added 1,033 new COVID-19 cases to the provincial total along with 20 new virus-related deaths.
Eight deaths have been attributed to the past 24 hours and 12 have been added from earlier dates in October.
Since the start of the pandemic, total coronavirus cases in the province now total 97,321 along with 6,094 deaths.

Public health is reporting 1,723,574 negative tests and 553 hospitalizations, 101 of which are in intensive care. According to Sante Québec, over 81,000 cases have been deemed as “recoveries.”
Quebec has reported over 1,000 COVID-19 cases in six days out of the past seven.

Public health continues to advise people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, and respect the maximum 10-person limit for indoor gatherings.
Canada’s coronavirus death toll is now 9,838.
