Quebec adds over 1,200 coronavirus cases to provincial total

Quebec public health has announced 844 new coronavirus cases since Tuesday morning and an additional 359 cases from earlier in the week.

According to Santé Quebec, the province’s coronavirus death toll has increased to 5,976 after announcing six new COVID-19-related deaths.

There are now 88,994 cases in the province, 488 hospitalizations, and 78 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 1,642,104 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and over 65,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data has been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Tuesday, October 13, at 6 pm.

Public health continues to advise people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, and respect the maximum 10-person limit for indoor gatherings.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll is now 9,636.
