Quebec reports over 100 new coronavirus cases for second consecutive day

There were 111 new coronavirus cases confirmed in the province over the past 24 hours along with one COVID-19-related death.
According to Santé Quebec, the province’s coronavirus death toll has also increased to 5,750.
There are now 62,056 cases in the province, 115 hospitalizations, and 15 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 1,014,539 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and over 54,000 cases have been resolved.
The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Wednesday, August 26, at 6 pm.
Santé Quebec says that despite the newly announced cases, hospitalizations continue to stabilize.

After eight days of reporting less than 100 cases per day, this is the second consecutive day in which public health has reported more than 100 cases in a 24-hour period.
Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 9,094.
