Plateau residents can create a free garden this spring
On Saturday, May 27, residents of the Plateau are invited to head to Avenue Duluth between Boulevard Saint-Laurent and Avenue de L’Hotel-de-Ville, where they will find everything they could possibly need to create a garden thanks to Cultivons Le Plateau’s Festival of Urban Agriculture.
And guess what? Everything is free of charge.
That’s right, the borough of the Plateau-Mont-Royal is distributing free flowers and compost to residents to encourage gardening in the area!
In addition to the free gardening kit, there will be local producers on site, giving Montrealers a chance to get to know their neighbours.
Proof of residency is required, and the borough asks that those in need of compost bring their own bag to transport it in.
Don’t miss out on this fun summer activity in the Plateau!
